Hair Prep

  • Arrive with your hair completely dry.
  • The night before, I recommend doing a good shampoo (2x do a good scrub to really clean the scalp). You can condition your ends but try to avoid the roots and rinse well. PLEASE avoid using hotel room toiletries. Blow-dry with a paddle or round brush.
  • Only air dry if you plan on wearing your natural texture/curls. Smoothing out curls takes more time so keep this in mind!
  • Part your hair where you think you’d most likely want to style it for the wedding day.
  • You can use your regular styling products.
  • Try to leave it down to avoid creases or flatness from a ponytail.
  • Having a clean scalp free of product and oil buildup is important. You know your hair best. If you think it’s better to wash the day off just make sure to follow all of the other directions above!

If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to Shannon Brown. She will be happy to walk you through the process of hair prep.
